Resolved Question: I spent all of my wedding money? Help!?
My wife and I have been together for 4 years. We saved up $10,000 dollars for our wedding. The $10,000.00 was supposed to cover the cost of our dresses, the food, drinks, invitations, pastor, music, flowers, wedding rings, the place for the reception, and limousine rental. The wedding was scheduled to be next March, but I spent every the gambling. I went to a casino, at Atlantic City. I thought that if I bet every the money, I could receive double, and we could have a nice honey moon. I feel awful, but I'm scared to tell her. I don't want her to leave me. Instead of telling her, I'm thinking about working two jobs, over the next 8 months, to lift the money. What should I do? I'm so scared.

Resolved Question: snobby girls concerning PROM?
to be more specific. me and my friends are planning the limousine arrangements for prom.. these two girl who are our 'friends' want to rent a normal SUV while we already planned on renting a navigator limousine. they want to split the cost of both so they can switch back and forth. in your opinion, is that fair? or are me and the relax of my friends just crazy. also, the two rentals would be from different companies. i dont even know if theyd allow that.

Resolved Question: Can someone help me with my dilemma?
I'll be attending prom in April, and my date pitched the idea of taking his mini-van instead of renting a limousine, to keep money. The only problem is that his mini-van only seats 7, and there will be 8 people in it, so someone will have to sit on someone else's lap. I really don't want to do this, but my date says he can't afford to rent a limousine(which I don't think is true). He says that everyone else invited wants to, but I know that at least 2 other people don't want to. I'm trying to receive information about limo rentals, to look how expensive it would be. If I the price is not too high, I'll ask my date, but he can have a bad temper if he doesn't receive his way. I need help with this. and not that this makes a difference but he's my best pal, so I can't really dump him =/

Resolved Question: Would this Limousine rental trick work?
Ok, so it's hundreds of dollars to rent a limo for a prom. It's every those hours they charge in between! Ridiculous! Is it possible to hire one company to pick up everyone in your party, and take them to the prom. Then hire another company to pick you up afterwards and take everyone home? This seems like a cheap solution, would companies let this happen?

Resolved Question: Buying a limo for a 15yr old student, what should i go with?
Okay, so I am 15 and I am looking to purchase a personal limousine to be dropped off at parties, school, etc. in. I don't want to spend more than 100k. Preferably a 14 pass. with L seat and casino style inner design. I want to flaunt myself to my peers, as I do in every other ways. I am the preppy, stuck up, type who acts as if they are the best there is. I think the Lincoln Town Car stretches are too normal, and rental looking.. I was looking more for Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc. Probably either black or silver. I think a BMW7 series would look chilly. I liked the Chrysler 300 ones, but.. arrive on.. Chrysler.. I think I could do better..and the Bentley copycat stuff is so cheating. I am specific..and want to draw a ton of attention to myself, and flaunt my wealth and appear as a vip. (very important person) as I am a indi pop atist, not a big one though yet. What do you think? I think they sell fro around 10-20k more than the original car's body. What should I go with? Thanks I am serious by the way. Sorry if I sound unreal, but my parents are millionaires, and have accounts for me and my 17yr old sister, mine currently has 4,080,000 some in it, but I wanted to use my interest for something special to promote me this year..so uhh yeah. Thanks.=] I am actually interested and mind set on a limousine. I DONT want comments about my personality, etc. simply what type of car should I base the stretch off of. THANKYOU

Resolved Question: The Ride Of A LIFE TIMEEE MATH HELP!?
The Prom date has been set and Julie has called the two limousine companies in town. She reports back to her group of friends that both offer the same vehicle loaded with sodas, hot tub, and unlimited miles. The distance traveled and number of passengers are not factors in determining the cost. The group wants to make sure that they rent the most economical limo. They only need to focus on the limo services rules about time. Go-Limo has a starting price of $300 for the driver and $100 for each hour. Lime Limo has a starting price of $200 for the driver and $150 for each hour. Many students could solve this problem by making a chart of 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours versus cost. However, since someday we are going to deal with problems that do not work out to integers we are going to use this algebraic method to investigate our situation. Let’s set up a linear system consisting of two equations. To create an equation for this type of problem we want to use the word equation below to receive stated. Cost = (start up) plus (hours)(price per additional hour) Replacing the word equation with values from Go-Limo we receive ... Y = ( $300 ) + x ( $100 ) Replacing the word equation with values from Lime Limo we receive … Y = ( $100 ) + x ( $150 ) These two equations give us enough information to answer important questions about which limo service would be the best bargain for Julie’s group. Question One: If Julie’s group decides that they need the limo service for 3 hours which is most economical company to use? We can solve for both equations using 3 for x. Remember from our word problem, x is the hours rented. Go-Limo Lime Limo Y = 300 + 100x Y = 300 + 100(3) Y = 300 + 300 Y = 600 Y = 200 + 150x Y = 200 + 150(3) Y = 200 + 450 Y = 650 For a three hour rental the Go-Limo would be the best buy. Question Two: If Julie’s wants to find the time where one company would be a better buy than the other she can use the substitution method. Go-Limo Lime Limo Y = (300 + 100x ) Y = 200 + 150x Most substitution you have practiced before has substitution happening in the middle of the equation. This method will substitute the complete value of y from Go-Limo to be placed in for the y in Lime Limo. Y = 200 + 150x start with one equation (Lime Limo) (300 + 100x ) = 200 + 150x Substitute the value of y from the other equation 300 + 100x -100x = 200 + 150x -100x Solve or x 300 - 200 = 200 - 200 + 50x Solve or x 100 = 50x Solve or x 2 = x This x=2 tells us that before 2 hours one company will be a better buy, after 2 hours the other will be a better buy, and at exactly two hours the two companies will be equal. Questions you can answer after using the substitution method are listed below. a. How many hours would you have to rent for the cost to be the same with both companies? X=2 allows us to answer “The companies are the same after 2 hours.” b. What would be the cost when the hours are the same? Using X=2 for either equation will give us the cost at that time. Y = 200 + 150x Y = 200 + 150(2) Y = 200 + 350 Y = 550 The cost for either company would be $550. To answer question about which company would be a better buy after this “breaking point” (2 hours), look at the equations. Focus on the coefficient of x. This will be the number that is multiplied with the dependent variable (in or case x). Go-Limo Lime Limo Y = 300 + 100x Y = 200 + 150x Since the Lime Limo has a larger coefficient, their cost will increase at a faster rate. So five hours in to the rental they will have a higher cost to Julie’s group. Any time past the “breaking point” (2 hours) the Lime Limo will cost more, making the Go-Limo a better buy.

Resolved Question: Republicans warned you about Change. Is this the change you wanted?
Will this help the economy? In NY Movie tickets, cab rides, soda, beer, wine, cigars and massages, Hair and nail salons would be taxed below Paterson's proposal. It also extends sales taxes to cable and satellite TV services and removes the tax exemption for clothes costing less than $110. * Reductions in payments to hospitals and nursing homes. * Video slot machines at Belmont Park, more multi state lottery games and expanded hours for the state's Quick Draw lottery game. * Layoffs for 521 state workers and the elimination of seven state agencies. * An "iPod tax" that charges state and local sales tax for "digitally delivered entertainment services" - in other words, that new Beyonce tune you download. * State sales tax at movie theaters, every sporting events, taxis, buses, limousines and cable and satellite TV and radio. * Costlier driving with the repeal of the 8-cents-per-gallon sales tax cap on motor and diesel motor fuel, plus and increase in the car rental tax. * Tuition increases at SUNY and CUNY, $620 and $600 a year respectively. * A 50 cent tax on cigars. The current tax is equal to 37% of the wholesale price, or 34 cents a cigar. * No more sales tax break on clothes and shoes worth $110 or less, except during two weeks a year. * Higher taxes on wine, beer and flavored malt beverages. He would also impose an 18% tax on non-nutritional drinks like soda 7up Coca Cola etc.. * The wealthy would pay more for luxury items through an additional 5% tax imposed on cars costing more than $60,000, aircraft costing more than $500,000, yachts costing at least $200,000 and jewelry and furs costing in excess of $20,000. * In addition, a host of a fees, including those related to motor vehicle licensing and registration, parks and car insurance, would go up, as would various state-imposed fines. Everyone of these proposals means people lose jobs as less and less people spend money on the products and services being taxed. Bezo I am glad this is what you want for your fellow Americans. I can handle it just fine probably better than you but unlike you, I worry about the Americans that can't ..

Many services offer the option of charging by the hour or a flat fee, such as a limousine rental company. You could pay a flat fee to have a limo every night, you could pay by the hour, or you might be able to pay a flat fee for a certain number of hours, and then if you are having a really good time, pay by the hour to stay out longer. pick an activity that you would like to do in the future (limo ride, hot air balloon ride, rent a recording studio, …) where the payment plan has options for either a flat fee or a pre-determined time frame. Explain what the choices are and how you would decide which option works best for you.

Resolved Question: Can someone answer this question for me, please? Including your opinion?
Many services offer the option of charging by the hour or a flat fee, such as a limousine rental company. You could pay a flat fee to have a limo every night, you could pay by the hour, or you might be able to pay a flat fee for a certain number of hours, and then if you are having a really good time, pay by the hour to stay out longer. pick an activity that you would like to do in the future (limo ride, hot air balloon ride, rent a recording studio, …) where the payment plan has options for either a flat fee or a pre-determined time frame. Explain what the choices are and how you would decide which option works best for you.

Resolved Question: Will Obama send billions in welfare to his supporters who were victims today of Hurricane Katrina? MMM MMM MMM?
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20091015/D9BB7CGG1.html That's when mad customers, realizing they weren't getting free coats, began throwing merchandise on the floor and grabbing clothes without paying for them, Nace said. "Everybody was like, 'I still want my free stuff,' and that started the riot," he said. "It looks like (Hurricane) Katrina went through the store." Police said they have no way of tracking down the customers who stole items and fled, but they're reviewing surveillance video. When the limousine driver realized he wasn't going to be paid the $900 Brown owed him for the day's rental, he turned her in to police, Deakins said. Brown, 44, was arrested on three outstanding warrants for aggravated menacing, misuse of a 911 system and causing untrue alarms. She was jailed tardy Wednesday, but no charges had been filed against her related to the coat store chaos pending a mental health evaluation. Resolved Question: WHAT ARE 3 SOCIAL FACTORS THAT IMPACT THIS SCENERIO?? 10 EASY POINTS!!?
The middle school in a rural community of 9,000 residents has four school-sponsored dances each year. At the Valentine’s dance, a coat-and-tie affair, six eighth-grade boys showed up in rented tuxedos. They had planned this together, and their parents, among the more affluent in the community, thought it would be “cute” and paid for the rentals. The final dance of the year is scheduled for May, and it, too, is a coat-and-tie dance. This time, rumors are circulating around school that “everyone” is renting a tux and that the girls are getting new formal dresses. The parents of three boys are, according to the grapevine, renting a limousine for their sons and their dates. These behaviors and dress standards are far in excess of anything previously observed at the middle school. students, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, have said they will boycott the dance. They cannot afford the expensive attire, and they claim that the ones behind the dress-up movement have said that only the nerds or geeks would show up in anything less than a tux or a formal gown.

Resolved Question: What's the story with limo packages?
As I read through the answers here and in other places I look most limos are priced hourly. What's the deal with limousine rental packages? Is there a trick to it, some nice of "tiny print" that I should be aware of? The reason why I'm asking is that package pricing is obviously cheaper than the same rental if calculated on hourly basis. Is this some nice of buy one receive one free?

Resolved Question: Honestly, what's the argument against gay marriage?
I understand if you think it's wrong, or against the will of God, or whatever. But taking religion out of the picture (which has no place in government anyway) where is the argument? Why would i care what two guys or girls do in their possess home with their possess time? Marriages are good for the economy, and you can bet Gay marriages would be the most FABULOUS affairs ever. Money goes to catering, limousines, tuxedo rentals, airfare to receive relatives and friends into town, decorations, party planners, etc etc. To the guy that says it is immoral: To whom? It causes me no hurt, nor you. a 6 year old is not an adult. They cannot smoke, join the millitary, drink, or steer. They are not mature and capable of making serious choices yet, so your argument is invalid. To the person who asks what my argument FOR it is: I have two, and they're both better than anything you will ever arrive up with. One: It's good for the economy. The more marriages, the more weddings, the more flowers and limousines as I stated over. More houses purchased. Heck, more divorces and more divorce lawyers. Two: Discrimination is unfair. I am allowed to marry any consenting adult that I wish. They are not. It used to be that interracial marriage would destroy america, and lo and behold it didn't. This is just institutionalized bigotry and we're every gonna look back on this time and wonder how we could be so foolish and bad. To BOB: Civil rights should not be subject to a vote. This leads to a Tyranny of the Majority. There are 9 white people for every black person in america. Do you think that if it were left to a vote, racial equality would have ever happened? Myth: I'm still allowed to beat the racial drum when talking about stuff in the past. Note that the election of a black president happened decades after racial inequality was deemed illegal. But my point is that if I am allowed to do something that someone else is not simply because of who I am, then it is not fair and as an enlightened society we should realize that. how_would_I_know: By your argument, nobody should receive married. Consider a married couple. With no kids, both likely would be employed and a dual income household has a tremendous amount of disposable income to spend on everything from groceries to new cars. Not too long ago, every races were allowed to only marry their same race too. 100% equal, but still not fair.

Resolved Question: Nightspots in DC?
My husband and I are going to DC in May to celebrate our wedding anniversary. One of the nights, I am surprising him with a limousine rental that will take us through town to some nice nightspots for good drinks and nice conversation. He's not much of a dancer, so not really looking to go to clubs...mainly a place to sit down, have a couple of drinks, and like ourselves. I hear Zengo is a good place. Any other suggestions? We'll probably be visiting 2 or 3.
